I’m a recent Scripps Institution of Oceanography alumna with a B.S. in Marine Biology and am currently preparing for graduate school. My research centers on detecting and characterizing microplastic pollution in marine and terrestrial environments using microscopy and infrared (IR) spectroscopic techniques. I’m especially interested in how these tools can help us detect and characterize microplastics to inform broader environmental monitoring efforts. Outside of research, I enjoy reading, doing yoga, and spending time by the ocean.
